association
This is a sacred space for those moving beyond harm, reclaiming identity, and walking together in the ways of our ancestors. All who are in ministry and are on a journey of reconnecting with their Indigenous heritage are welcome to join us in fellowship, sharing stories, listening to global Indigenous histories, and learning from Indigenous experiences across the globe.
Let us walk this path together.
and shared for the good of the whole church.
Welcome to IMA ONLINE

how we define indigenous
- We recognize Indigenous Peoples from around the world, those with ancestral kinship and lived ties to the people, nation, or community they come from, belong to, are returning to, or remain in relationship with.
- Did you know Indigenous peoples are around the globe?

Learn more about the ECC
Learn how the Evangelical Covenant Church is working toward deeper partnership with Indigenous communities and a more faithful expression of multiethnic ministry.
We partner strategically with the Evangelical Covenant Church to shape a more faithful, multiethnic Church, one that honors Indigenous presence and participation in alignment with the Six-Fold Test. This work includes:
Contributing Indigenous leadership to ECC bodies such as the Mosaic Commission and Ministerium Executive Committee
Guiding the Church in learning from Indigenous communities and expanding the table through restored relationships between the ECC and Indigenous peoples
Nominating Indigenous leaders to serve on ECC boards, committees, and in denominational priorities
Through these efforts and more, we help ensure that Indigenous voices are heard, valued, and represented in the life of the Church
476 Million Indigenous people worldwide
370 Million Indigenous peopleĀ live in poverty
